Director: Douglas Sirk
Starring: Jane Wyman, Rock Hudson

This beautifully filmed melodrama set in the 1950's is a thoughtful look at the social values towards love, class and marriage. We see the beginnings of women's independence to take charge of her life.

Jane Wyman is Cary, a widowed older lady who falls in love with her younger gardener Ron (Rock Hudson), and the drama's that come up when they decide to get married. Her children's reluctance to accept the situation, and the class bigotry of her friend's and social set, see's a struggle within herself between the new life she wants and the old life she must leave behind.

Stunningly filmed in Technicolor, with scenes of snow covered country vistas and that classic 50's small town feel, make this an enjoyable film to watch, and reminder to us all that it's never to late to find love... DIDOMAN - 5/9 (Netflix)
